Dental Cleaning and Evaluation
During a general anaesthetic, our veterinary team thoroughly evaluates your pet’s teeth and gums. Using specialised equipment similar to those used by human dentists, we scale the teeth to remove plaque and tartar, followed by a polish to keep them shiny and healthy. After the procedure, we provide a personalised dental hygiene plan for you to follow at home.
Free Dental Checks
Is your pet’s breath smelling bad? We offer free dental checks with a registered veterinary nurse throughout the year. This quick assessment helps identify any early signs of dental disease, so you can take preventive steps.
Signs of Dental Disease
Look out for these common signs of dental disease in pets:
- Yellow or brown tartar around the gum line
- Inflamed or red gums
- Bad breath
- Changes in eating habits, especially in cats
- Excessive drooling
- Pawing or rubbing at the face and mouth
- Pain or bleeding when touching the mouth or gums
If your pet is showing any of these symptoms, book an appointment with us today for a comprehensive dental check-up.
Extractions and Oral Disease Treatments
When necessary, we perform extractions to remove damaged or infected teeth, relieving pain and preventing further health issues. We also treat various oral diseases, including gingivitis, stomatitis, and dental infections, ensuring your pet’s mouth remains healthy.
Why Is Pet Dental Care Important?
Dental disease has been linked to heart and kidney conditions, so maintaining your pet’s oral health is essential to their overall well-being. Regular dental check-ups and cleanings are the key to preventing disease and ensuring your pet lives a long, healthy life.
